Why does eyelid hygiene is so important ?

In addition to eliminating impurities, eyelid hygiene will allow Meibomian glands to open and thus relieve dry eye.

The eyelids play an important role in protecting of the eyeball and spreading the tear film on the ocular surface through the blinking of the eyes. They also play a role in the expressiveness of the look and the face. It is therefore necessary to take care of it!

Rigorous eyelid hygiene is recommended for all (sensitive eyes, lens wearers…) but essential in case of dry eye, chalazion (meibomian cyst), stye or conjunctivitis to avoid any complications.
